Dr. Watlington reminded everyone that the children are watching. environments where students can learn accurate history and to help students think critically and teach them how to think, not what to think. Dr. Watlington also shared that our job is to create an environment where there can be structured critical dialogue whether diverse points of view can be brought into the classroom in a way that we don’t censor people or demonize people for alternative perspectives and that the facts are shared as best that we know them.
